ELVENKING will enter Sonic Pump Studios in Helsinki - Finland on February 24th to start recording the new album with producer Nino Laurenne (who already worked with the band on The winter Wake and The scythe albums, and known for his work with Amorphis, Lordi, Sonata Arctica, Apocalyptica, and many others). New drummer Symohn will be immediately put in the middle of the battlefield against Nino to lay down the drum tracks at  the highest level.



“I think it is too soon even for us to understand exactly how the new album  is going to sound in the end” sais guitarist Aydan “We know that the final result could be very different from what we expect at the beginning of the recordings and we are still putting the final touches to the songs and we need to choose which one are good enough (or less crappy at least!) to be recorded. But for all of those who is asking me how it is going to sound I would say it will be surely heavier, still very melodic and a bit back to the roots with a lot of good old folklore in it. Expect some great surprises as in EK tradition. You’re going to love it!”

We will update you with news about the pre-recording and recording phase of the new album so be sure to check our websites often. A release date for the album has not been officially set yet.

ELVENKING will return on stage next year to continue the “10 years in Heathenry” tour before entering the studios to record the NEW ALBUM! (stay tuned for tons of news about it very soon!).

We are very sorry to announce that the UK January gigs are CANCELLED, due to causes beyond our control. We are very sorry for that and we hope to return to play on English ground as soon as possible!

ELVENKING have been confirmed for the FORCES OF METAL Festival, HOLLAND, 8th/9th June 2012 with MANOWAR, TWISTED SISTER, EDGUY, KAMELOT and many others.

As part of the "10 YEARS IN HEATHENRY" tour, ELVENKING will celebrate HEATHENREEL's 10th birthday in their hometown next Saturday.

From the next week-end ELVENKING will kick off their "10 YEARS IN HEATHENRY" tour, where the band is going to celebrate the birthday of their cult debut album "Heathenreel", released in 2001 . This will be a unique chance to see ELVENKING perform tracks rarely played live and obviously a lot of material from the first album. Don't miss this chance becuase it's not gonna happen again.
