It is with enormous disappointment that we must announce that Elvenking will not be able to perform at ProgPower USA and to join HammerFall and Evergrey on their upcoming North American tour.
Although we worked through every required step of the process within the prescribed time, our U.S. work visa petition was approved only last week, with the consequence that it wasn’t possible to schedule an appointment in time to receive our visas and travel to the United States.
Sadly, we are aware that we aren’t the only band affected by this situation.
We continued working toward a solution until the very last moment, but there is simply not enough time remaining to complete the process in time.
We have been looking forward to returning to North America, performing at ProgPower USA, and sharing the stage with HammerFall and Evergrey, two bands we utterly respect and would really have loved to tour with. We know many of you have made travel plans, bought tickets, and have been waiting a long time to see us, which makes having to share this news even harder.
We want to sincerely thank ProgPower USA, HammerFall, Evergrey, the promoters, our team, and everyone behind the scenes who worked tirelessly with us trying to make these shows possible. And most importantly, thank you to all of our fans in the United States and Canada for your patience, understanding, and continued support.
We are already planning to reschedulethese dates and bring Elvenking back to North America as soon as possible. We want nothing more than to make this up to all of you who were planning to see us. We’ll have more news about this soon.
This is not goodbye. We will find our way back to you.
Elvenking
